Botox and Dysport are two types of wrinkle relaxer products made from botulinum toxin type A. Both Botox and Dysport are used to temporarily relax facial muscles, reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Botox and Dysport are both brands of wrinkle relaxers. They are two different brands but were created to do the same thing, similar to products like Coke and Pepsi. Botox is the more well-known product and tends to stay localized to the treated area and therefore offers a slightly stiffer result. When injected, results start to set in around 7 days later. However, full results take two weeks. Dysport is more diluted than Botox, which may cause it to spread more easily across the treatment area. Some people find that Dysport results start to set in on day 4 or 5. Full results set in at 10 days and many patients get up to 4 months of longevity out of the product.
